Most Western show saddles for sale are designed for looks rather than hard work. The styles change often as fashion trends dictate.  One thing they all have in common are ornate, deep tooling patterns in the leather.  Normally they will be trimmed with silver on the skirts, cantle, horn, stirrups and fork (pommel). Generally, the skirts are  somewhat larger to show off the silver and the leather tooling designs.
