The Bob Marshall Saddle is made with independent "tree" parts, the pommel in the front, and the cantle at the rear section. The front saddle section works independently from the rear tree section. Bob Marshall saddles help rider mount safely and not let them slip off. Being treeless, they allow the horse freedom of movement no offered by conventional horse saddles.
